Valentin a eu du mal a trouver un bon rythme sur le circuit de Sepang, son chrono des essais de 2'12''17 a plus de 5 seconde de H.Aoyama était assez loin du chrono qu'il aurait du realiser car en étudiant ses partiels il aurait du realiser 2'10'' 87. Il y avait donc un petit problème a résoudre.
Valentin a pris un mauvais départ mais il a su rapidement mettre en pratique ce qu'il avait commencé a appliquer lors du warm up, il a ainsi doubler ses adversaires les plus proches. A noter son meilleur chrono en course de 2'10''99 a 3'3 du nouveau record du tour établi par Hiroshi Aoyama le vainqueur du jour.
Hiroshi Aoyama qui se trouve maintenant a 4 points du bonheur pour décrocher le dernier titre de champion du monde de la categorie 250cc.
